We would like to express our appreciation for your desire to visit The Common. Visitors have enjoyed their vacations with us since March of 2002. The care and love that has been given to our home has been extraordinary. Many wonderful stories have been told in The Common's journal. It's a good read when you get the chance. There are many reasons for these vacations. More often than not, family get togethers and reunions tend to prevail (The house sleeps 10!). Even though we get new guests each year, The Common tends to attract repeat visits. Each guest has a different motivation for coming. For some, it's only a summer visit. For others, it's to play in the snow (usually 170 inches of it annually!).

Your interest in our home is important to us. Because of this, The Common offers many amenities that are not always found on today's rental market. All bedding is changed from summer to winter themes. Special care is taken by adding new pillows and double slipping them. The kitchen ware is swapped out frequently so not to show wear. Vintage family portraits abound with clues about who they were and what role they played in our society. These touches are things that we look forward to when we come to The Common.
